Movie Tone News November 2018

There's sadly not much on the news front  as the kind of painting I've been doing lately is the kind that you lot would find as exciting as watching it dry :)

I did how ever get some hobby stuff done, the building below is the Sheriff's office, please forgive the pictures as they were taken in a hurry.

Above one of the sides of the building, the other side I for got to snap :( & below the back which is left rundown looking.
A closer view of the cells
The other building which you can see the back of in the picture below is the undertakers.
Here's the front, I'd another go at trying some sign writhing & this time it didn't go to bad, apart from when a day & a half later thinking the paint would be dry I ran a bit of sandpaper over it & it smudged a bit :(

Again only one side to show but that because the other side is plain, this will be the entry to the  workshop.
I now have 5 building at this stage but tbh I was hoping to have been further along with this project :(

In other news I've shot the open part of reel 2 of Secret of Corpse Diamond Temple & it involved doing something that I've wanted to do for a long time but hadn't gotten around to it, my hope is Reel 2 will be released before the big guy comes down the chimney.

Well that's it for this month's news, so its a goodnight from me & a goodnight from him, as always my thanks for dropping in & if you'd care to comment it would be welcomed :)

  1. It seems ike no time at all to fix up five buildings and they do look fit for purpose.

    1. Thanks Bryan, my original plan was to do like you & buy the 4ground ones, then madness took hold & I decided to build my own.

  3. Good progress on the western town and the buildings are looking good. Bit disappointed in the film front, I've got used to a new episode every week and I've not had my fix for nearly a month now. ;) With you and the Wargames Addict out of action there's not a lot of games going on in my favourite part of the blogosphere.

  4. Excellent work on the buildings! And from scratch, not a kit. They look just right.

  6. Excellent looking set of buildings Frank, your time in the props and set departments might have kept you away from "shooting", but it's been productive and well worth it! :-)
