New Dublin, Sean Mulloony

A look at the head of the Irish gang, Sean Mulloony aka The Wacker
Born in the Irish slum of New Dublin know as Winterhill Sean Mullony the 6th son of a family of 11, Sean has been fighting since he could walk, by age ten as the youngest member of a teenage street gang he'd got the nickname the wacker such was his love for violence by 14 he was already well known to the local police & had already done time in a reform school for beaten a teacher at his local school so badly with a baseball bat that the teacher had to spend 3 weeks in hospital.
This violent streak has taken Sean all the way to the top of the Irish gang & for all the fine things his money has bought him he still likes nothing more then taking a baseball bat to those that cross him.
Its said that Sean only fears one thing & that the sharp end of his wife's tongue.

  5. OK, so he's not the smartest dresser, but there won't be many folks around Winterhill who are prepared to tell him that!
You've presented a marvelous looking character Frank, and he looks like the type who doesn't prefer "the subtle approach" :-)

Interesting times to come and I'm in for the season!

    1. Thanks Greg, my aim is to try & make all the main characters different & while my take on the gangster movie is very tongue in cheek I'm trying to have a bit of realism, so were the Italians would use a father to son approach, other gangs would be different.

  9. :):):) I'm getting as slow as molasses in winter time, 6 days since I looked at anything to do with wargaming, what is the world coming to.

There's you going from monthly posts to weekly ones, how can a man be expected to keep up.;)

I did wonder if you based the character on a Mr O'Donnell of my acquaintance until I came to the bit about his wifes tongue and realised I must be mistaken.
Have to say and I hope I don't give offence but I was looking forward to seeing a peeky blinders flat cap on the Irish mob, but I do like the base ball bat.

We just need to see them running around your wonderful set in a N and D film for things to be complete.
Hope you and the missus are good, inspite of having to work for a living again.
    Take care

    1. Thanks John, & I'll begin by reassuring you that there has been no offence what's so ever & just because the boss does's wear a flat cap that doesn't mean the other won't ;) maybe I'll name them the creaky minders lol

No he's not based on me although the wife might be a bit closer to home :) I can say that in safety as she never read my blog.

I can understand where your coming from on the whole not looking at anything wargaming related as its happen to myself & I would guess a good many others at different times.

Here in Ireland we've our long weekend this coming weekend & I'm hoping to get behind the camera again so movie shouldn't be to far off.

Yep all is good with us mate & I hope also with you & yours, as for having to work for a living, well if that was the case I might starve lol

    2. The Creaky Minders is a brilliant name, probably not apposite to your lean mean Irish mob but for an Ealing Comedy it would be superb.
My younger son rang up about a week ago and asked if I fancied taking part in a D&D game he was thinking of running on line. This is his first game and he is GM'ing it.
We kicked off last night, my 2 sons, grandson and sons girlfriend, this was the first for all of us and I thoroughly enjoyed both the game and having 3 generations of Vagabonds on the screen together. We had intended a one hour session but that stretched to 2 until it was way past grandson Vagabonds bed time and we had to call a halt in the middle of a fight with 5 elves in a building. I'm looking forward to the next session on Saturday.

Hope your weather's good for the weekend or maybe rain would be better, we've had the best April/May I can remember.
      Cheers

    3. Ealing Comedy is something I'm a big fan of tbh.

I 'm delighted for you John been able to game with the family even if it only was on line & that you enjoyed D&D, did Mrs Vagabond take part ? if she didn't you should try to get involved in Saturday's game

Yep the weather is to be good here & like yourself I can't remember a better April/May.
